Priti Patel, MA
Priti Patel, M.A. (she/her), is a masters-level mental health clinician on the path to becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience from Regis College and recently earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College.
Priti brings experience providing outpatient mental health services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her current practice is primarily women-centered, focusing on culturally diverse adolescent girls (ages 14 and up) and women across the lifespan. She has particular expertise in addressing issues uniquely impacting women, including domestic partner violence, disordered eating and body image issues, childhood and attachment trauma, sexuality, pregnancy-related challenges, postpartum anxiety and depression, motherhood, adolescent girl development, and marital concerns.
At the core of Priti’s clinical work is a deep belief in the healing power of secure, attuned relationships. She views the therapeutic alliance as a central conduit for transformation and growth. Her counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and relational, rooted in fostering a sense of safety and acceptance, especially in areas shadowed by shame. Priti supports her clients in reconnecting with their inner selves, healing from relational ruptures, and reclaiming their identities while expanding their emotional capacity to carry grief and loss throughout life.
Her integrative therapeutic style incorporates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
