Priti Patel, MA

Priti Patel, M.A. (she/her), is a masters-level mental health clinician on the path to becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience from Regis College and recently earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College.

At the heart of Priti’s clinical work is a deep belief that healing occurs within safe, secure, and attuned relationships. Her counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and relational, rooted in fostering a sense of safety and acceptance. She views the therapeutic relationship as a central conduit for transformation and growth. Priti seeks to meet her clients exactly where they are at by walking alongside her clients to help them come home to themselves. She supports her clients in reconnecting with their inner child and reclaiming their identities while expanding their capacity to carry grief throughout life.

Priti brings experience providing outpatient mental health services to adolescents, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her current practice is primarily female-centered, focusing on culturally diverse adolescent girls (ages 14 and up) and women across the lifespan.

Priti specializes in supporting both women and adolescent girls recovering from trauma, anxiety and depression, disordered eating and body-image difficulties. She has experience in supporting mothers with pregnancy-related and postpartum mental health difficulties, helping mothers embrace the journey of motherhood and navigate issues within marriage.

With a specific focus on healthy female adolescent development, Priti helps adolescent girls cultivate emotional resilience and navigate gender specific challenges associated with female adolescence. Priti understands that adolescence can be a tender, and often overwhelming stage of life, marked by social pressures, identity exploration, and emotional intensity.

Priti’s integrative therapeutic style incorporates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
